To coincide with a client webinar on the class action landscape in 2020, we pull together a series of articles on exploring the key themes.
On Thursday 3 September we hosted a client webinar to discuss some of the key issues currently shaping the class actions landscape in 2020.
Damian Grave moderated an expert panel comprised of:
- The Hon. Justice Bernard Murphy, Judge, Federal Court of Australia;
- Paul Smyth, Placement Director - FSG, of Aon Global Risk Consulting;
- Tania Sulan, Chief Investment Officer, of Omni Bridgeway; and
- Herbert Smith Freehills class action specialists Harry Edwards, Melbourne and Christine Tran, Sydney.
The panel discussion covered the last 6 months’ of developments in the class actions landscape, and covered a range of topics including common fund, class closure, and the new litigation funding regulations.
With thanks to our national class actions team, and to coincide with our panel event, below are 3 articles that explore some of these topic areas in greater depth.
