Zoe is a member of the Herbert Smith Freehills’ mergers and acquisitions team.

Zoe specialises in mergers & acquisitions and general corporate law. Zoe's experience includes working with various clients on control transactions, demergers, complex private M&A transactions, corporate governance and strategic advice across a range of sectors.

Background

Zoe obtained her Bachelor of Laws/Arts degree, with Honours, from the University of Melbourne in 2008 and was admitted to practise in 2009.

Zoe was the Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Hargrave of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2008.

Experience & expertise

Selected matters

  • acting on many public company transactions, including BHP Group’s corporate unification and the demergers of Coles, Deterra Royalties and South32; and
  • advising on a range of private M&A transactions, including the sale by the Smith family of a majority interest in PFD Foods to Woolworths and the sale by NAB of an 80% interest in the MLC life insurance business.
