This chapter outlines the current private enforcement landscape in the EU and the changes made by the Directive, including in respect of limitation, document disclosure, joint and several liability, contribution, and settlements. It also considers the implementation status across the EU, and the likely impact of the Directive's provisions on the private enforcement of competition law.
